At the fuel dock in Osprey just north of Venice on Florida's "Left Coast" Intracoastal Waterway
Nancy on the phone at a peaceful anchorage near Cape Haze
That's us waiting to go through the Blackburn Point swing bridge south of Sarasota
We were favorably impressed with
the cruising speed of this boat.
With its twin 75-hp Yanmar engines
fuel economy was surprisingly
good.  Average fuel consumption
was a mere 3.5 gallons per hour --
total for both engines!
GPS readout underway.
In the competition between "dogs" and catamarans, I'd say the cats are winning  -

Looks like me, but it's actually my twin brother "Kit" at the helm
Above: A view of North Captiva Island
from the Gulf side showing the ravages
of Hurricane Charley. A bit farther north,
the island was split in two by the storm.
Not everyone would consider this an
attractive rear end, but personally I've
grown quite fond of it!
Cruisin' on Sarasota Bay, the wake at 14 knots -- anyone want to waterski?
