Lorelei's Restaurant in Islamorada is fun place to hang out.  We
enjoyed the food, the live music and the
sunset.

Cruising south in Buttonwood Sound on the west side of Key Largo.  Parts of Florida Bay have Bahamas-like turquoise water.
Wednesday, February 10, 2010 - Today was sunny with temps in the seventies and winds out of the NW at 15 kts.
Perfect for cruising south on the Florida Bay side of the Keys - but not for heading to the Bahamas.
The unmarked entrance to Lorelei's can be tough to find.
Drinks & dinner at Lorelei's - outside in Islamorada.
Back on the boat, we watched TV news coverage of
Snowmaggedon 2, the blizzard hitting the Atlantic East Coast.
The Florida Keys have a cold wave warning too, temps may
drop into the low 50's here tonight. Burrr!
02-11-10 - Stayed in Islamorada - sunny, cool, wind NW 15

Sno' Dog fitted snugly into a Marathon Marina slip.
Right now (Friday evening) there's a rip-roaring cold front
passing through the Keys. We have gale warnings, winds
forecast to top 45 knots!  But we're snug and comfortable here.
Monday does appear to offer a possible window for a Gulf
Stream crossing, but we've decided to bag it and cruise the Keys.
Marathon Marina offers a good weekly rate ($1/ft/nt), so we've
signed in for a week.  We plan to rent a car and possibly make a
run North to see
our kids and grand-kids who will be visiting
next week in Jensen Beach.
The log of Sno' Dog will continue, stay tuned...
Meanwhile, thanks for those tips on our shower
hose problem - which has now been fixed.

The narrow entrance into Bahia Honda Marina -
but we had no trouble getting in.
Near Bahia Honda, this unusual-looking DSe Hybrid powercat
named
Sunshine came by.  Also, that bridge in the foreground
is part of the old railroad bridge built by Henry Flagler, the
first Overseas Highway was built on top of the RR bridge!
In the Bahia Honda Marina, we spotted this strange-looking
Cargile Cutter Cabin Cruiser.  With it's 8-foot beam, it's easily
trailerable, yet it is a comfortable live-aboard boat.  For more
