Alaska Inside Passage Cruise
Page 1
Heading north in the Stephens Passage toward Juneau - typical southeast Alaska weather.  Note "glacial" water color.
Along with Nancy's parents (who missed last winter's Panama Cruise), Nancy and I cruised Alaska's Inside Passage aboard the Holland America ship, Oosterdam.  A luxury cruise through a very scenic part of the world!
The ship departed Seattle on a bright sunny day.  During the following week however, we saw very little sun!
A photo of the photo HAL would have liked to sell us for $20.   (The happy couple boarding the ship in Seattle.)
The sun sets as we head west out Juan de Fuca Strait.           Formal Night: Nancy & Henry  pose in front of fake sunset.
Juneau,
Capital of Alaska

Without the cruise ships and government jobs, I doubt this place would be the boom town that it is.
View of Juneau (and Douglas Island across the bay) from the 2000' high Mount Roberts aerial tramway.
The Dawn Princess seemed to follow us wherever we went.
Page 2...  We make like tourists and fly over the glaciers in a helicopter.  Very scenic!
